Lovell's Tavern: Where Central Ohio’s Best Wings Meet a Friendly Dive Bar Atmosphere

WHOOAAAA!! If you like chicken wings, this place is LEGIT. It is the definition of a hole in the wall bar. The customer service was fantastic (Kalee was our bartender and was great), the patrons were super friendly, they have two pool tables (they looked as if they were in pretty bad shape), electronic darts, a bowling and putt putt game, TouchTunes and Keno. Okay, NOW onto the wing review! HOLY MOLY! We have a contender for the top wing spot in Central Ohio!!! I ordered five Spicy Garlic and five Cajun Honeay (all flat and extra crispy of course). The chicken was super fresh, the flavor and spice were on point, and the wings weren’t that greasy. My only complaint is that they could have been more crispy. I have said this before, if you have a good product, have good ranch! Make it house made! Oh yeah, and their Truth IPA was super fresh. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend! The Spicy Garlic and Cajun Honeay: 9.4/10 Ranch: 5.1/10 For all of you who rave about the wings at Shaker’s, Mean Mugs, Pastimes, Roosters and Blu-Willy’s, trust me when I say that those places don’t even compare to this place, and you need to make the drive to Lovell’s to check it out. I take my reviews very seriously and I believe I gave Shakers a 5.1/10, Mean Mugs 8.1/10, Blu-Willy’s drums 2.1/10 and their flats a 7.3/10, and Roadhouse a 9.3/10. Onto the BONUS Review: I tried the pizza since I saw a couple of tables order it. 6.5/10

If you like a townie bar, this is absolutely the place to go. I'm not from the area, but stopped in on two different days off passing through. The staff is friendly and helpful if you need recommendations in the area, the food is excellent and the owner is meticulous in product selection, and the drinks have yet to disappoint me. I absolutely recommend stopping in, even if it's just for a drink and directions.

We enjoyed our time at Lovell’s. Great tasting wings and good weekly specials. All the flavors tested great and they were hot & fresh. Service was a little slow and they forgot a couple items but to be expected given the limited amount of staff. The mixed drink we had tasted great. They have keno, a juke box and a pool table to keep you busy. The place was clean and well kept. Nice patio for warmer weather. Will be back to try other items!

Found this gem of a dive thru a co-worker. Kept coming back because of the food but also the service is untouchable . We werent sure what to get as far as shots and our bartender Destiney recommended a variety of delicious shots for people like us who wanted something fruity and fun. She also makes the best Bahama Mama Ive ever had. She kept our drinks full and the laughs coming. The whole place has a cheers vibe , and the food is the best food youll have in a bar hands down. The kitchen runs the food straight out and you have a chance to see the people from the kitchen and thank them . They have different food & drink specials every night and the prices already cant be beat! The breaded wings are to die for as well as the reuben. You definitely cant judge a book by its cover when it comes to this place. Get past the rough exterior and youll fall in love.

Love this place, my wife and i go here at least twice a month, and spend around $65 to $80 in food, drinks and tips. 5 star atmosphere, not for looks, but for the vibes.

We finally got to try Lovell's wings and they were made perfect big size and good meat quality. Had the garlic parmesan breaded traditional. More of a dry rub which is what I've been searching for. Had the cheese curds that tasted close to the fried fritters from olive garden. I give both a 5/5. My sister got the honey bbq and fried mushrooms and were also super good. Will be back when I'm on this side of town.

Food's great and service is good. Is my go-to spot if I want to step out.

The chicken wings are the best I've had since moving to Columbus Ohio from Buffalo NY. I forgot to mention Kalee is an awesome person and bartender.
